This weekend we celebrate Memorial Day.

"Memorial Day, originally called Decoration Day, is a day of remembrance for those who have died in our nation's service."

Let us never take for granted our service people who fought to secure our freedoms.

Isn't it wonderful that we also have Freedom in Christ?
It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery.   Galatians 5:1

Celebrate FREEDOM this weekend!

Happy Mother's Day! I hope you all felt appreciated yesterday, and even if you didn't, felt APPRECIATIVE. Appreciative of those little miracles you are raising.

We are so BLESSED as moms! I know it's HARD work and exhausting and you feel like you might go INSANE most days. But it truly is the most rewarding job out there. Your little (and not so little) ones LOVE you so much! They may not say it or even act like it but they do. They NEED you and you were given this position from God because YOU are their perfect mom.

You probably aren't perfect yourself. (If you are, call me. We NEED to talk! ;) But you ARE the perfect mom for those children you were given. Have CONFIDENCE, mom!

You can do this - you were MADE for this!

THIS WEEK

Please join us for a special luncheon on Saturday, May 17 at 12:00 pm in the Higher Grounds Cafe at WFA. While you are being pampered and celebrated, child care and lunch will be provided for your kids in Kidtropolis. Enjoy lunch, fun, and giveaways!

After the luncheon, we will provide extended child care until 4:00 pm. Take advantage of this break while you relax, run errands, get things done, or just take a nap!

Moms work so hard and as a single parent, we know you work twice as hard. We want you to know that we appreciate you!

NEXT WEEK

Meets Thursday, May 22 at 7:00 pm.

Little Blessings is a group specifically for pregnant women and moms of babies under a year.  This is probably one of the most exciting, scary, fun, and overwhelming times in a mom's life and we would like to celebrate and support you during this time.

We will be meeting on the 4th Thursday of every month in at Waukesha First Assembly.

Join us for a fun time of fellowship and food as you connect with other women going through this same stage of life as you.  Babies are welcome to come with their moms.

Please feel free to invite your friends and neighbors that are pregnant or have a new baby, too.

If you have questions, please see Amy Prebil.  You can also email us at nurturewfa@hotmail.com.

Let us know if you are coming so we can be prepared to welcome you!
We are so excited to share in your journey of motherhood with this new baby!!

Did you know that Nurture has a prayer team that is praying for you?

Obviously, we don't know each of your names but we are still praying for every mom that comes into contact with Nurture.  We know how important prayer is in our lives and how every mom needs prayer as they perform the most important job on earth.

If you ever have a specific prayer request, please don't hesitate to contact us at nurturewfa@hotmail.com.  We would be more than happy to cover you in prayer.

“Again, truly I tell you that if two of you on earth agree about anything they ask for, it will be done for them by my Father in heaven. For where two or three gather in my name, there am I with them.” Matthew 18:19-20 NIV

We care about each of you and want you to know we are here for you!

Have a great week!

Happy May! We're in the middle of spring now, even if it may not feel like it. Spring brings with it such hope of beautiful days to come after a long, cold winter!

Mom, you might be in a situation that feels hopeless, like there is no way out. Trust in God. In Exodus 2 we witness how Jochebed - a woman with no hope, no power, in a dire situation, experienced God's sovereign protection and care of her son, Moses, as she relied only on His grace.

Be Hopeful. :)
